As a child, Pero Jelisić heard a story that Nikola Tesla once said he could illuminate the entire Earth if he were able to harness the power of lightning. This idea carved itself deeply into his being and memory, becoming the foundation of his inner world. Tesla thus became the source of his lifelong inspiration.

Over the years, Jelisić created an impressive and extensive cycle of artworks dedicated to Tesla. His work has been recognized by the Tesla Science Foundation, and he will receive the Tesla Spirit Award for his Tesla cycle at the Foundation’s annual conference, to be held in New York from January 9 to January 14, 2026.
